Back in September 2001, I adopted a 4-year-old Yorkie through Metroport named (of all things) Jelly Bean. His name was quickly changed to Maxie, and he had the most amazing life with me. This past Thursday 4/24, Maxie passed away at age 12 due to multiple medical issues (diabetes, epilepsy, hyperthyroidism).

I liked to tell people that Maxie had a bad "childhood" but lived the final 7 years in absolute luxury! He loved me so much and I will miss him desperately. He was truly a pampered parlor pooch.

I just wanted you to know that he had a wonderful life and was loved and adored. Thank you for helping this beautiful guy find a way to my life.
